JUST CONTEMPLATING

Just what is heaven like?  Not too much comes to mind.

There is happiness complete!  But mostly undefined.

.

.

Descriptions often swarm of favorite spots on earth,

Giddy thrills complete with laughter, chills and mirth.

.

.

But some joys more subdued contingent not on place,

Dependent not on fixtures, guy toys, or pretty face.

.

.

What then can we say about this vast unknown?

Paradise, Third Heaven, so much to Paul was shown!

.

.

“Unlawful,” were his words regarding what he saw. (*)

Kept true to his vision.  He did not break God’s law!

.

.

But I had no such vision or law containing me.

All imagination and guess what it comes free!

.

.

Does not the bible tell us to encourage one another

With our future habitation with each other forever?

.

.

Consider God, The Father, loving us the way He does.

Would He deny any to those He dearly loves? (**)

.

.

Consider too, the suffering He bore for you and me,

That we may live in heaven with Him eternally!

.

.

So imagine what you will, you cannot exceed His love!

For your complete enjoyment, He placed galaxies above.

.

.

Many mansions without end!  Think there is room for you?

Would not be surprised!  With everyday something new!

.

.

So come and go with me to my father’s home

Where it is not against the law to investigate or roam!

.

.

Where you will never be kicked out for lack of rent to pay

Play with the stars and the satellites all day!

.

.

Now consider Jesus, who for the joy He foreknew

Endured the cross, bore the shame, did all He could do–

.

.

To prove His love, take us there, Third Heaven, Paradise,

His greatest joy to take us home.  All by His device!

.

.

PARADISE IS (II Corinthians 12:4)

I have no charge from God to keep silent

Over things apocalyptic by device.

No vision from God of the future

As had Paul of third heaven, paradise.

.

.

So why is it considered ludicrous

To contemplate imaginatively

The joys God has planned for His beloved?

Fantastic joys for you and for me.

.

.

We are to comfort one another with these words,

Words about our future God has planned.

Many mansions, so do not be troubled

And positions for many to command. (1)

.

.

Considering the wide open spaces,

(I do not mean deep in the heart of…)

Desert land?  Not nearly space enough!

But galaxies God’s space up above!

.

.

Ridiculous?  No!  I do not think so!

Ridiculous it is to assume

That every orb that God put out there

Is as dead as Mars or the moon!

.

.

So why is it thought of as peculiar

Assuming live planets, out in space?

Did God create voids unpredictably?

Not a chance, considering His grace!

.

.

He is gracious!  He is loving and almighty!

And He said, “I go to prepare…” (2)

In His house we are told, “Are many mansions,”

And by God’s grace there is one for me there!

.

.

(1) “   ruler over many…”

HE NUMBERS THE STARS

Can anyone count the stars out there?

Like in our galaxy alone?

A trillion, quintillion, perhaps googolplex,

No countless!  The mind sheer blows!

.

.

Then there is the rest of the universe!

Forget the Milky Way!

Seems like a galaxy in itself,

Numberless stars displayed!

.

.

Our star cluster within this vastness

No mind can ever contain.

But to the One who made it all,

To God, of course, it is so plain!

.

.

“Without number…except to Creator God,”

Every planet controlled!

And named and charted to be used

As the future unfolds.

.

.

This only God knows surprises complete!

As His smile lights the way!

Untouched by time; His presence aglow!

Promise a brighter day!

.

.

“Many mansions,” that Jesus promised,

With a twinkle in His eye.

Was His reference to planets about

A thought to fetch a sigh?

.

.

Mansion to mansion, planet to planet?

Does this present a problem?

Not a problem to this glorified body. (*)

Through the Spirit to solve them.

.

.

“The heavens shout the Glory of God!”

That glory will not be diminished!

We will dwell in that glory, the heavens,

When for us it is finished!

.

.

(*) John 14, “I go to prepare a place for you.”

I DO NOT GIVE A RIP

God attending to small details features this from the eternal.

Each skinny silk of corn attached to every little kernel.

The silk extends outside the husk to catch the rays of sunshine!

Each sun kissed kernel bursts with sweetness tasting, like, divine!

.

.

Just think other things, similar like the apple and pear,

Can you, the sweetness of a grape find just anywhere?

Sure makes our taste buds water that is not all!  God made them grow!

God made everything that pleases!  Does not this His kindness show?

.

.

In hundreds of tasty tidbits we find pleasure every day!

Mouthwatering juicy vegies there is just nothing left to say!

God loves us tries to prove it through our taste buds, nothing more?

Just gaze into the future.  Look by faith and see that shore!

.

.

“Many mansions” this foretelling beauty, luxury, beyond

Any human comprehension!  Listen!  That angelic sound!

Coming from ten thousand voices, do you wonder, cannot you hear?

Clear sound harmonious mingling, imagination brings it near!

.

.

Let us not spoil it by imagining, just know that it will transcend

Any, every mortal talent!  Nothing earthly can contend!

Music there is never ending, reach other planets, all

Bathed in constant praise extending, reaching those that did not fall!

.

.

Other planets, heavens pieces, like to ponder, think a bit!

Not suggesting this as scripture, so do not throw a tizzy fit.

Angelic choir from main heaven televising words from God

Around the clock?  No!  Daylight always!  Waking hours can afford!

.

.

Can imagination offer anything to beat this trip!

Do not know!  I do not think so but then I do not give a rip!

Through all our tears and troubles can we ever understand

That we were handpicked for heaven?  For we have sought a better land!

CREATOR, BLESSED TRINITY

When the mists of night have past revealing

God’s forever day,

No contention left deceiving

Driving peace away!

.

.

Sun?  No need!  The Son of God

Determines light forever!

In the sunshine of His Grace,

Walk in darkness?  Never!

.

.

“Eyes have not seen nor ears have heard,

Nor have  a n y  conceived,” (1)

What the Father’s prepared for them

Who love Him and perceived–

.

.

What Faith portends who wait for Him.

Receive what God has prepared, (2)

Many mansions for those in love

Who have His mercy shared!

.

.

Joy and peace forevermore!

Nothing below to compare,

To the happiness we will know

And with countless numbers share!

.

.

Done with sadness!  Tears?  No more!

Can anyone consider

The ecstasy?  “Joy unspeakable (3)

Full of glory.”  The Giver!

.

.

Rejoice now in God’s sacrifice!

Share peace forevermore!

When we will know joy completely,

On that forever shore!

.

.

Peace, bliss, imagine it!

Everlastingly!

Thinking fails!  Not even in dreams

Can we compare or see!

.

.

He promised, “I go to prepare…”

Do we not trust God’s Word?

“Let not your hearts be troubled!”

Most joyous words yet heard! (4)

.

.

Consider now, do not miss the trip!

Love Jesus, God’s Son.

God, the Father, Son and Spirit,

Of course, the Three are One!

.

.

Yes, gods a plenty men have made!

Only The One I see,

Creator, Father, Son, the Spirit,

BLESSED TRINITY!
