WHAT GOD MADE HE CAN MEND

Prayer will not work unless you can see

God, as your Father, wanting to be

.

Close to you, loving you, eager to find

A son or a daughter with like loving mind!

.

Prayer, like the air you breathe, cannot do without

Filling your spirit and banishing doubt!

.

Get close to Him, focus!  A live grateful heart

Will widen the prayer flow!  He is near from the start.

.

As long as you fervently breathe in His love

You will constantly feel His smile from above!

.

He cares dearly for you!  I trust you are aware

When life seems against you, just trust He is there.

.

In times of distress you will especially find,

As you look and seek, He bestows peace of mind!

.

An incredible, loving, compassionate Friend!

Is your life broken?  What He made He can mend!

.

.

Trust Him!

.

.

Give Him a try.  People have expired trying out-of-sight stuff

and have died trying!  You cannot go wrong with Him.

He said, “He who comes to me, I will in no wise cast out,”

John 6:37.  (No way will I reject anyone who comes to Me.)

THAT ABSOLUTE IMPERATIVE

The absolute imperative that most important fact,

From any age or culture or promising contact;

.

Befitting the heroic from pleasure-loving age,

Adventures, most fast moving, from histrionic page

.

Discounting wealth and power, as hard as that may be,

Experience the unusual to ultimate degree!

.

Something far more basic than picture shows though wild.

Exciting rides soon ending clean fun all undefiled.

.

Yes, something more important than finite pleasures, fun,

The infinite impending when this day on earth is done!

.

What can profit anyone, experience any dream,

If we miss the immortal eternities main stream?

.

This is it, the absolute imperative to find,

In this brief life direction and through it peace of mind!

.

Is this, then, our direction to press toward the prize

Into the highest call imagination can devise?

.

Beyond imagination there is nothing can compare,

To the matchless glory that with Jesus we will share!

.

.

(Paul had an experience, caught up to paradise, where he had

experiences that he was not permitted to share.  Perhaps because

in our present mortal state we would not understand of fully

appreciate their exceptional glory!  Add to that forever and ever.

“It will be worth it all…”  Do not miss it!)

THE ONLY WAY

When grief or pain come over me

Until it seems I cannot see

Or call on anyone to find

And give me needed peace of mind—

.

.

There is just One I truly know

The One to whom I always go.

Eventually when no one else

Can find the time, my soul to bless.

.

.

I know He truly is the One

To go to that when day is done,

Entrusting all my thoughts and ways

To Him who leads me all my days!

.

.

He speaks come morning gently now,

Do not remember past times how

You would get up quickly to write out

Your thoughts eliminating doubt—

.

.

And cause some doubting heart to praise

And once more find my leading ways?

Yes, I remember and thank you, Lord!

This work I really can afford!

.

.

You put my head and heart and hands

Positionally to where it stands,

Now so that I can make

A word or two to slow hearts shake.

.

.

Wake up and live with Him who lives

And eagerly His blessing gives!

Love Him!  Serve Him!  Do not you know

It is the only way to go!

.

.

Satan hits us with everything

Of course, it is Satan!  Do not blame Him

Who rescued us from sin and hell

And keeps where He wants us to dwell!

HEAVEN IV

Of course, I will fly, investigate

The premises up there.

It will take, at least, a million years,

I have time, no need to fear.

.

.

What everlasting means, you know,

Eternal in the skies!

You have seen one corner, seen it all,

No!  Will not believe your eyes!

.

.

What you will see then cannot see now!

Your eyes see not the half

Of what your eyes will see up there!

You will laugh with joy, you will laugh!

.

.

You will laugh!  Of course, no bounds to joy!

Look up now see the sky,

Sure, earth is huge!  Forget the earth

Look up!  You will wonder why—

.

.

You ever thought the earth was big

With huge planets everywhere!

And suns and moons, the sparkling orbs

There is nothing can compare…

.

.

Our vision is limited to rooms

In homes so large and grand

Up where they overlook the sea,

The view makes the command!

.

.

They crumble now, cannot replace

For everything has sunk.

Was sunk into the homes they built

And now just piles of junk!

.

.

In heaven there will be mansions,

Oh yes, “The heavens declare

The glory of God,” forever!

Nothing here can compare!

.

.

What will God do with those planets?

What suppose we will find?

Contained within the eternal,

The heavens!  For peace of mind.

.

.

Do you not sometimes wonder just

Why God places them there?

Of course, they shine!  So beautiful!

Our eyes see beauty fair!

.

.

There are no mansions anywhere

To match those up above!

Room for largest families there

Contributive to love.

.

.

Do not be looking in that church chair

Will not see me there no more!

For I will be waving from the portals

Of that happy, heavenly shore!

.
