THE THREE ARE ONE

Why did Jesus die on that cross?

Submitting willingly?

Sins penalty is what He took!

Claimed it for you and me!

Died that we need not die in our sins!

Projected!  Ever our time began.

He died for me and you sinner friend,

Sure, myself a sinner I am!

.

.

We live our lives in a sinful world

And the Holy Spirit cries!

The pride of life cannot help myself!

“Wages of sin…” I must die!

.

.

The Spirit woes but we disobey.

He pleads, “Do not do it!”  We do!

Holy Spirit as a Gentle Dove

With triune Godhead it is true!

.

.

One God, of course, the Trinity

God the Father, in love

Came down, the Son, to propitiate

Spirit, the gentlest Dove. (*)

.

To recap, baptism of Jesus

Spirit, symbol, a dove

Descended, baptism complete.

God smiles Spirit, His Love!

.

.

“God, in three persons,” threesome descend

In God the Son, He who died for us.

God the Holy Spirit in baptism

All One in Christ Jesus!

God the Father, God the Son, and

God the Holy Spirit

It is the Triune God, each One in One!

One God!  Simply accept it!

.

We accept Christ by faith,

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.”

NECTAR OF THE GODS

Consider the cow, its magnificence.

Capitulating sheer continence,

Controlling its stomachs, yes three of them,

Contently chewing its cud in the sun!

.

Pure grass it chews, then brings it back

From its first stomach, so there is no lack,

As it is chewed again the process minute

In producing pure milk prepared to suit!

.

.

Most sensitive stomachs anywhere,

Pure!  This established beyond compare!

This magnificent creature given to man

Regardless of culture extending the span—

.

.

Of man’s longevity, blessing from God!

And this, a blessing anyone can afford!

Thank you, Lord!  This blessing we know

Can come only from You for You bestow—

.

.

All good things to men everywhere!

There is nothing as pure as this we share!

God gave us the cow, like simple to see,

He loves everyone, like, continually!

.

.

Still cannot believe?  Give a good healthy look!

God made everything!  Must go by the Book!

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ—be saved!”

Enter new life, one you always craved!

.

.

Look around you may find a cow waiting there

To be milked, milk it, and the you can share

This nectar from heaven from earth back again.

So pure just drink it until God says when!

IDENTIFICATION

I will not try to prove, once in Grace always in,

I will just state out front what I know!

A change occurred when He entered my heart,

Authentic joy I had then to show–

Others for I led another to the Lord.

Real joy could not be contained!

Did not feel guilt or pride anymore,

No way could those be retained!

.

.

Yes, I drifted away as so many do,

Of Disciples, only John stood by,

Others returned to what they had done before,

But for Christ, John would rather die!

.

With Mary, He stood at the foot of that cross,

There He truly identified!

Then, “Mary, your Son…” “John, take your mother,”

Last thought at that cross, He died!

.

.

Disciple John drew closer that any!

Did he then lead Peter back?

Then ran to tell others the good news!

Sure, he got back on the track!

.

.

So typical!  They just could not believe!

Though assured so many ways!

That He would resurrect from the grave

To experience everlasting days!

.

We creatures of now is this what we face?

Deep down, this is the end?

Death then declares conscious/unconscious,

No future to ever spend!

.

.

If Heaven is doubtful then Hell is too!

But what Jesus said, I believe!

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved!”

Important this fact!  I receive!

.

.

Cannot pick one fact thinking the others do not fit,

Must receive all of God’s plan

Specifically Heaven, sure, and Hell, also!

His statement, yes!  He can!
