A PRIORITY, SEEK FIRST

Initial obligation to yourself?  No!  No!

To your family then your friends?  No again, not so!

Jesus gives us the answer; He says, “Seek ye first

The kingdom of God and His righteousness.”  First (*)

Then “All these (other) things” you do not have to worry.

No need to fret, be fearful, or even hurry,

“Will be added unto you,” true promise from His Book.

Just believe it!  Once you have read it, you can find it if you look.

It has been proven by so many, oh yes!  I have found it true!

If you put God’s Kingdom first all these things come back to you!

This is not au-natural, like, “What goes around comes around.”

This is supernatural!  In God’s Kingdom to be found!

Expression from our Father that He loves us always will!

Trust Him, walk in obedience; He, His promise will fulfill!

God can do anything He wants as Lord of all!

He wants to redeem us and lift us when we fall!

He will not leave nor forsake you.  He has promised to fulfill,

The “good work He began in you.”  This is His perfect will. (**)

..

(*)  Matthew 6:33 “Seek first the Kingdom of God…”

(**) Philippians 1:6 “He who begun a good work in you…”

(Look them up and read them all before breakfast, before work,

before TV, before bed!  Do and God will honor you!

That is His promise!)

DEEP SEEDING

In the glory of the heavens

How can anyone come close

To numbering the stars out there?

You would surely get a dose–

.

.

Of eyeball circles,

Wanting to deliver

One star from another where

Some seem to merge together.

.

.

Countless!  Numbering impossible!

With just part of the sky

Visible to the telescope, not

To mention the naked eye!

.

.

Numberless, like, the sands of the sea.

Countless may come closer to fact

Than an exaggerated number out there

Giving number to the birds in the sky.

.

.

Coming within a fraction

But that is what my God can do!

My God of compassion!

.

.

Countless?  Numberless?  God knows all!

Every tree, every plant that grows!

Made them all, the plants and trees!

What does He not know?

.

.

Knows my thoughts, dreams, concerns,

Sure, knows my every need!

“Cattle on a thousand hills…”

In pleasant pastures feed!

.

.

Sure, “God will take care of you”

Let Him!  Trust Him!  Believe!

“He will never leave nor forsake!”

“Ask and you shall receive!”

.

.

Of course, we have done wonders

Through Christ’s cross heeding,

But only God creates life!

Through His word, seeming!

.

.

Spread the word, God sows the seed!

HEAVEN BOUND

Enemy scattered in those hills, always a cave nearby.

Always a cave, cave was home, “Come in!”  Great way to die!

Toss a grenade, think that will do it?  Maybe, maybe not!

Sleep at night half an eye open.  Make it a burial plot.

.

.

Made it!  “You still alive?  With your foxhole out in the open?”

Four months to go.  How should we know?  Feet sore!  How to soak them?

Been in these hills two months, I guess.  How many more?  Do not know!

Made it!  Only lost one!  Eleven more men to go.

.

.

Four men left, rod caught one.  Could not see, looked straight ahead!

Losing more men, seems easier now.  Many old-timers dead!

Careless, no ticket home!  Buried right there by that tree!

Or just left there to be eaten by the enemy.

.

.

Some say, “It was hell!”  Do not think so, hell is forever!

War, if you make it, go home someday!  Hell, think never!

Hell is hell.  Do not want to go.  That’s one place to stay clear!

Develop sensitivity to Jesus, to stay always near!

.

.

He will never leave nor forsake, was with me in those hills.

Doubt Him, well, you may make it but it is unbelief that kills!

This death, know it is, like, forever and apart from our God!

Jesus loves you!  Wants you always abiding in His Word!

.

.

Of course I know some in glory felt they were Heaven bound!

I will greet them, “Buddy, you made it,” and we will glory in the sound!

.

.

Heaven I know my abiding place, Heaven is my home!
