GOD THUNDERED!

“I Am the beginning and the end”

Just no other God around!

Created, made from nothing at all!

Who else then can be found?

.

.

In Turkey soldiers boarded our ship!

I feared them, looked so important.

Sure, and did we have something to hide?

Remembered my deportment!

.

.

Just 10 of age, I was frightened!

But my brother, Bill, seemed so calm!

His attitude no cause for fear!

Sure, no cause for alarm!

.

.

Somehow I wonder did this feeling

Contribute to the thought

Of course, the ridiculous fear

Their self-importance brought.

.

.

And so this thought of self-importance

Was it contributively

To the slang descriptive of one

Like, a stupid Turkey?

.

.

Gobble Gobble, of course, the sound,

Not natural.  Sounds laconic

Adhering to the natural sounding

Made by one ironic!

.

.

Did Christians sound silly about Heaven?

Or was it the whole bit?

Eternity?  Heaven or Hell,

Sinners just do not buy it!

.

.

Jesus said it, sure God came down

His claims of Majesty.

We can know this beyond any doubt.

The Word as certainty!

.

.

Will I think then in my Heavenly home

How could I have even wondered?

Surely Satan lowers the mists of doubt

In what God has thundered!

.

.

Are you ready?  My Brother?

.

WELCOME HOME PILGRIM

I do not quite know what is happening

But then I do not much care,

Because as I dwindle down with age

The will to care is not there.

.

.

It is probably a good thing

To be insensitive,

You are less inclined to worry about

How long you have got to live.

.

.

Of course, you have got to worry some,

What else you got to do?

I cannot climb trees no more

It hurts to tie a shoe.

.

.

I am going home, it will not be long.

That effervescent glow

Reflecting from my shining down

Contends I want to go!

.

.

“Well, where you all going?” you ask.

And I say, “Where do you think?”

I much prefer my heavenly home

To that infernal stink!

.

.

“What makes you think you have a choice?”

“Not think, my friend, I know.

I am prepared for heaven’s domain!

The Bible tells me so!”

.

.

If you believe in Christ, God’s Son;

Confess your sins and pray,

You too can have this confidence

To hear the Savior say:

.

.

“You may enter ransomed child,

It is nothing that you have done.

I died for you!  I paid sin’s price,

So welcome home, my son!”

LIBERTY OR DEATH

“Give me liberty or give me death!”

Meant every word with every breath.

.

Patrick Henry I would like to have known.

Recorded in history and not alone!

.

Proclamation of freedom, liberty bell,

Independence, self-rule, and governed well!

.

Free government but not anarchy!

Lawlessness in governing deliberately.

.

Second Continental Congress in 1776

Declared independence, learned some new tricks.

.

Keeping order!  Savages put down!

Liberty extending!  There will be no crown!

.

Over three hundred years ago the main thrust,

Liberty!  Like, “In God we trust!”

.

Washington, a totally God fearing man!

Accomplished only what God’s man can!

.

Land of freedom, so many folk claim!

Immigrants, “My Country,” in freedoms name!

.

So freedom in Christ we may also seek!

Everland, heaven, just for the meek.

.

Meek shall inherit what?  Forever life!

Heavenly Home!  Free from all sins strife.

.

A Continental Congress for all who come!

Home in heaven, if you truly seek one!

.

“Seek Me, you will find Me…”  Truly God’s Word!

No sweeter promise ever made!  That I have heard!

REFURBISH

Refurbish can only mean, clean up time!

And do it again better!

Yes!  Jesus died to clean us up!

Only this time forever!

.

.

That is for His perfect eternal abode!

Trust!  He does it right!

The goodness you claim, merely a flake!

Will not do in God’s sight!

.

.

“The just shall live by faith in Him

And His death on Calvary!”

“He became sin who knew no sin!”

The Perfect One died for me!

.

.

Perfection died as a sinner on

That criminal cross.

How else can we say, “He took our place.”

Calvary His loss!

.

.

That Perfect Lamb crucified for  a l l!

We have all sinned, all have failed,

Missed His glory, all have come way short,

Truly, as in curtailed!

.

.

Just as Adam sinned and was booted out

Of that garden’s perfection.

How can we know how perfect it was

Until we reach heaven!

.

.

Heavenly home as in perfect!  So fair!

Imagine such a place!

Impossible!  Only angels up there

Can tell of perfect grace!

.

.

Absolutely no sorrow or sickness!  There all is joy!

Imagination falls way short!

Impossible to figure!  Cannot touch!

Plain thinking can only abort!

.

.

Kingdom perfect and glorious peace

Consider way out of reach!

To even imagine systems beyond

Just an impossible breach!

.

.

Kingdom glorious perfect the joy!

Along with angelic sounds,

Singing like we have never heard before!

Cannot imagine, just way out beyond!

.

.

GOOD MORNING, LORD!

Jesus is all in all to me!

I want no better friend.

I am just 92 and he wants

To lead me until the end!

.

.

Whenever that comes, though impatient,

Do not aim to hasten the finish!

Which surely will be the beginning,

Eternity undiminished!

.

.

My Heavenly home!  Of course, it is there

Waiting since Jesus died

And rose again decidedly!

Determining the ride.

.

.

But, of course, ever since ol’ Adam and Eve,

In Paradise awaiting,

Along with Saints ever since then!

Without reiterating…

.

.

For some unknown reason I am still around

Suppose it is my, like, poetry?

Seems to be appreciated

Sure, it certainly helps me!  (*)

.

.

Keeps my spirit and mind occupied,

You know, something to do!

And to defeat Satan’s, like, wiles to

Cause to be untrue!

.

.

Of course, there is something for everyone

Near senility

You have heard of Praying Hyde, of course,

And would you please pray for me!

.

.

We all do need prayer often times!

All know prayer changes things,

Prayer, also, changes people!

Expect the change your prayer brings!

.

.

Impatience is my hang-up mostly

Try living a prayerful life.

“Pray without ceasing,” scripturally

Keeps one from sinful strife!

.

.

Expect answers!  Eliminate form

Has He ever answered mine?

God has been and always is young,

No need to pray, line on line–

.

.

Precept on precept, sure, fall asleep!

Maybe wake up still bored,

Find yourself in heaven on wake up

Then “WOW!  Good Morning, Lord!”

.

.

(*) Keeps me happily occupied
